ABOUT US

Integrated Design Lab - Bozeman

Offering integrated design services to maximize energy efficiency including daylight and electric lighting analysis, energy modeling, and lighting systems consultations.

For over 6 years, Integrated Design Lab - Bozeman (IDL - Bozeman) has provided daylighting and energy efficiency analysis to Montana's architects and engineers. Located on Montana State University's Bozeman campus, IDL - Bozeman is affiliated with the School of Architecture. Tom Wood, an architecture professor at the school, founded and currently runs the IDL - Bozeman.  Several students from the architecture program assist with the Lab's projects.

IDL - Bozeman is funded by BetterBricks, the commercial building initiative of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) and NorthWestern Energy in Montana. As part of a larger lab network, IDL - Bozeman works to raise awareness about the environmental impacts of energy consumption, through project analysis, consulting, and training workshops.
